2016 S205 reverse camera night vision????

Hi all, we’ve recently purchased a 2016 S205 C Class Estate and the reversing camera is shocking at night due to the fact there’s no infra red night vision.

Camera works just fine but I would’ve assumed that it came with night vision as my 2011 Golf did.

Is there a setting or something I can check within a hidden menu that I can turn it on?

So do the factory cameras come with night vision or not?

Im just wondering as i would assume it does.

Changing reversing bulbs doesn’t answer my question.

My old CLS63 didn't have reversing night vision and it was very clear to see at night

I have a reverse camera on my W205, and confirm that it is grainy at night. On my previous W204 I fitted an aftermarket camera from ebay and it was miles better than the orriginal Merc unit

Is yours a drop down motorised one?
Ive actually got one lying around, might give it a go if it fits.

Just would’ve thought Mercedes would’ve installed ones with night vision from factory.
