2016 S212 E220 Nox Sensor failure @ 75k

Unfortunately, sooner or later, the same problem will arise again, it’s just a poor system, which is not fit for purpose, but of course, Mercedes will never admit it.

The motoring organisation is the warranty company

Was the warranty cover purchased by the seller and offered to you as part of the deal? Trade sellers often do that, to cover themselves for at least the crucial first 6 months period, when they are liable for all repairs. How long is it for?

It was just a basic 3 month warranty that came with the car. I bought it 23rd December

Just keep in mind that you are covered for up to 1 year under the Consumer Rights Act. The 3 months warranty protects the seller, not the buyer - the buyer doesn't need it. And, you can still demand that the seller repair your car even after the 3 months warranty expired - but hopefully it won't be needed.

Cheers mate, never knew that

No idea about his personal life but the garage is completing the work and the warranty company are footing the bill. Thats fine by me
Would be handy for others to know of a garage doing such work . Guess we'll never know , must be top secret . 🙄🙄

Mayfair Garage, Sunderland. Used him over the years, has decent rates and seems like a top bloke :)
Now the ad blue is stating ‘cannot measure fluid level’

Was working fine yesterday as i topped it up to 3/4 of a tank. Is this a separate issue or linked to the faulty NOx?

Sadly, that is very possible.

The error message you received is most likely due to a faulty AdBlue level sensor, and unfortunately this requires a complete new AdBlue tank. The '500 miles countdown' will follow at some point.

Having said that, you might get away with a good cleaning of the tank, sensor, and nozzle. Also, replacing the AdBlue with fresh fluid and anti-crystallisation agent might help.

Thank you. So basically once the NOx sensors get replaced next week, the EML will stay on due to this new fault? Only had the car two month!

Covered by the warranty hopefully. Possibly exceeded the claims max limit by the sounds of it now . ??

No idea. I will ring monday. Just funny how two faults occurred a day apart
It's possibly not dispensing ad blue , hence the nox failings . Is the dash giving you a picture of range of ad blue miles . ?

Yesterday it was half full so i topped it up last night. This morning it was reading 3/4 full. I checked again and it now states cannot measure fluid level
