Just noticed that the rear footwells are glowing white and not blue like the rest of the car.
Have looked in the setting and can only seem to change colours and adjust the brightness.
Am I missing something ?
Can you change individual areas somehow ?

I just had to go and check mine as I wasn't sure how they worked.
When you checked your rear footwells did you have the rear door open or closed. The reason I ask is that when I checked mine I opened the rear door and the footwell was white (everything else was blue). I closed the door and the rear footwells went blue to match the rest of the car. I guess they glow white for better visibility as the passenger enters the car, then switch back to their usual colour after the door has been closed.

Yea ur right! What a bloody numpty I am lol.
U may be able to solve my next problem lol
Can I only change colour and brightness on the ambient lighting.
Heard someone say u can have one colour in the front and a different one in the back.
This true ?
Can’t find anything in the settings other than those two settings.

Only in later models (MY2018, I think). And even then it’s not front versus back, it’s sort of main versus highlight.

Apparently there’s no way to upgrade via software I’m afraid.

What I find bizarre about the main interior lighting is that when you unlock the car it lights up super-bright white inside. Then, when you open a door, it DIMS DOWN. Surely this is backwards. If it needs to do anything, I’d like it to brighten up when I actually open the door, as it welcomes me inside.

I can only speak for my MY18 and I can only change colour and brightness. As mentioned above by SCRL there isn’t an option to have different colours front to back, but there is an option to use one of the preset multicolour options, this is where the upper section of your ambient light is one colour, the middle section is another and the lower section is the combination of the upper two. Then all of the colours roll, changing whilst fading in and fading out.

Hope this helps.
