Nope doesn't work for me too conservative and looks like a Rover 75
Does any one else think the more aggressive fronts may engender discourtesy from other drivers? E.g here comes another Mr Toad, stuff you mate.
I'm sure the AMG versions will be better Ian, but probably still not Audi macho .

Not from the front, but since I got my current car, I get someone tailgating me daily. Im talking so close you cant even see their headlights and no I dont drive slowly
South Germans are famously conservative that's why they can sell the same car worldwide without problems.
I think the car is no surprise.
E-class is the one car they need to be conservative on to keep all the 50+ year olds who mainly buy/drive them happy.
Looks the step and a half forward the C-class was too in the interior over the previous model.
I think the proportions of the saloon are better in the E- than the C- too.
Think you've got the nail on the head. I've already seen lots of complaint that it's too similar to the S and C, but I don't think those people understand the demographic of E Class buyers. It's definitely still a car that is bought by older people and in my experience they always comment on the S Class.
