2017 C Class/COMAND - unable to link/read texts to HU from iPhone

As per title I can read texts via the head-unit on my 2017 C43. The phone is an iPhone SE and connects fine in terms of calling and address book. I've ran through various options via the menu but no success - any suggestions, please?

On the iPhone have you selected Show notifications on the MB Bluetooth connection

Thanks - I just did that and sent some test texts - I don't get an alert when a message comes in though, but what I can do is download all messages...

My C Class beeps when I get a text and reads them out if I wish. Yours should too. If you highlight the envelope symbol on the screen it gives the option to read it out.

Rebooting the iPhone has activated texts via the head unit!
