I did some tests and recorded the status of my battery from the app at the end of each day:
  • 13 June - Fully charged with NOCO Genius5UK charger
  • 14 June - Charged
  • 15 June - Charged
  • 16 June - Charged
  • 17 June - Charged
  • 18 June - Charged
  • 19 June - Charged - driven 20 miles - charged
  • 20 June - Charged
  • 21 June - Charged
  • 22 June - Charged
  • 23 June - Partially Charged

Does anybody know if getting the 'partially charged' on the app after 10 days of nearly not driving the car is normal?

I had messages on mine stating "starter battery critical - start engine" as well as the partially charged ones.
This even happened every day over a few weeks while driving from Scotland to the S.France and back, covering up to 1000 miles a day.
Mercedes changed the stop start battery, which is actually a capacitor under the glove box which cured it, although a couple of years later the stop/start has stopped working again.

I had the same issue with the pre-facelift model where start/stop doesn't work (you can actually tell with the yellow 'A' icon constantly on and rarely changed to green. Eventually, Mercedes replaced both the capacitor and then later the actual battery.

My car is only 1.5 years old and only just done over 1000 miles (you read right just over a thousand). Maybe because it isn't driven that much over that period is causing issue with the battery...

My start/stop didn’t work properly. I then got a battery drain due to a faulty headlamp leaving my car dead. I jump started with my noco power pack and it’s worked ok ever since. ?

With just 1000 over 1 1/5 years you definitely have to invest in a trickle charger.

I used to get the same message.

I've got the NOCO trickle charger already which I've used to fully change the battery before recording the daily status of the battery.

I noticed on the Mercedes manual that if the battery is discharged beyond a certain capacity, the battery itself starts to incur damage. But no where mentions the specifics.

I would suggest that is normal, my E Class does almost the same, the CTEK 5 is your solution!😁👍

Trickle chargers should be hard wired into every modern Mercedes Benz FFS , after Covid, Brexit and Trump dead batteries on nearly new cars must be the most discussed thing on this forum.
