It’s definitely not being ‘canned’ it looks even more aggressive

How much extra power is it getting then to distance it from the C43? The difference between an E43 and E63 is 170hp and the difference between C43 and C63 is only going to be 80hp without an upgrade....when you take account of 4wd traction the new C43 will probably be faster in real terms than a pre FL C63.

Or are the new C63's getting more power, 4wd and a more aggressive look? I'd expect at least 500hp from the C63 and 545hp from the C63S.

Agree the brushed aluminium trim on the C63 Coupe's door cards is a mess and can't be changed, I have black open pore ash on the doors of my C63 saloon along with the centre console, cost £195, carbon trim is still too shiny. Red seat inserts make the interior look quality and bright, while being sporty at the same time.

I must say I originally disliked the stuck on iPad display, but it has really grown on me.......it's at a perfect height compared to other systems I've used, so you hardly need to look away from the road yet it isn't in your eye line.

I'm not a great fan of the new revolution digital dashes, I'm a bit old school and still love analogue instruments and don't really see the point of recreating them in an electronic format...but that's only me!

If they did the black open pore in the Coupe on all the interior trim as they do in the saloon I'd go for that option, at £195 sounds like a bargin. IMO the Coupe dash just looks messy at the moment.

What I like about the new generation of digital dash systems , MB And Audi , are the options you have to configure the layout to suit your personal choice or choices. As with most Tech in 10 years time almost all cars will have digital displays. VAG are moving in this direction and MB appear to be there as well.

I'm sure digital dash "tuning" will be the next area for development by aftermarket specialists.

Any news on when prices and specs will be released, or do dealers have details now? March is nearly at an end

It' the same as the old model except for a bigger screen and it' has a version of the S Class steering wheel...........

I had a good look round the face life W205 at Geneva.
I thought the front bumper lower lip was less aggressive than the pre-face life.

The headlights on the AMG Line (like) model appeared to full LED's.
All the models I saw had the wider larger tablet screen with digital dash. I really liked it but I don't know how much of an expensive option that would be?

I'm hoping for some improvements to the C63 and C63S to distance them from the C43, already disappointed that the halo models are keeping the crap exhaust tips whilst the C43 gets round tips.

After 10 years and 4 Mercs, including two AMG models, it may be time for a change in September and an Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio might be the answer.

The new C63 looks so much more aggressive. They’ve changed a lot. What is it you don’t like about the current exhausts? I can’t say that I think the QV’s exhausts look any better.

After just watching the Facebook live video from Newyork, I think it looks very similar apart from the grill. Bumpers look identical bar a slightly different splitter and rear defuser.
Steering wheel is a good upgrade with the controls now on the steering wheel for the driver modes.
No extra power but now has 9 speed box. But presumably Merc will roll out some higher power special edition models towards the end of the w205’s run.

Pretty underwhelmed by the FL C63, OK the grill looks good and I'm sure the 9 speed gearbox and electronic diff will be an improvement in some ways, but not sure how much over the current C63. No power upgrade so the FL C43 will be even closer to the C63 in outright performance terms due to it's extra horses and 4wd. One of the other things I've read from the AMG PL is that standard seat trim will be Artico/Dinamica instead of Nappa leather which I hope is not the case in the UK as again that will bring the C63 in line with the C43. Will be interesting to see how much the prices are hiked. At the moment however there is nothing to make me want to order a new C63 or C63S in the Autumn.

The upgrade package to the C43 seems much more comprehensive than the upgrade to the C63, it's not just about the exhaust tips, but it does p*ss me off that on a £70k plus car they're not even connected to the exhausts, they're just cheap trims attached to the bumper. I came from an R172 SLK55 which had proper oval chrome tips on the exhausts as per the classic AMG models, for example the W204 C63 and most of the previous supercharged 55 V8 models.

What I'm getting fired up about is that the 43/53 and even AMG line diesels are getting closer and closer in looks and spec to the halo 63/65 models, and this saddens me more than anything. The Audi S and S-Line models are a long way off the RS models, and the true BMW M cars are still pretty unique when compared to run of the mill M-Sport cars.

In 2012, when I joined the V8 AMG club with my SLK55, there were very few AMG models, 19 or 20 I think including the 65 models, they were a rare car with a USP. I don't know exactly how many AMG models there are today, I estimate at least 45, without the new GT4s, and at least 18 C class models alone.

AMG is now just a cash cow for Mercedes-Benz, the DNA has been diluted to such an extent to up sales and get more bums into AMG. Gone has any exclusivity, creativity or unique selling point for that matter, and to me I'd rather drive something special like an Alfa Quadrifoglio, be it a Guilia or a Stelvio. For me the heart of AMG has gone, they just follow the rest as is shown by the GT4, and as such I'll be going too.........
