Hi,

My 2019 W205 C63 car is at an age where it needs some additional TLC:
  1. Four replacement centre caps; I assume those indents occurred with the most recent tyre change, but I didn't notice then.
  2. New wheel bolts - are rust-free versions available? 🤞
  3. Either replace or fix the flaking paint on the fake exhaust tips (I saw a recent thread on that, but asking AI said I need to take the rear diffuser off to remove them?).
  4. It is the lowest priority and will be delayed for a while, but it involves respraying the silver hubs (I believe the S63 hubs are the same colour, but doesn't it discolour like the C63 paint?).
She'll be getting her Service B in a couple of weeks, so some of those points (1-3) could potentially be resolved at the same time.

And please excuse the dirt and excessive brake dust; I just got back from an enjoyable 1,400-mile plus road trip to the Outer Hebrides :)

Thanks in advance, Ben

I bought rust free bolts for my SLK on Ebay, about £30 for a full set of 20, they've been on for a couple of years and have not rusted.

I bought a set of new wheel bolts from dealers for a w211. They appeared to be galvanised and they've not rusted yet. You could always clean yours up and spray with etch primer topped with zine galvanising spray paint? think the set of 16 bolts cost me £90

RAD lugbolts are my go-to replacement for rusty wheel bolts.
Available from alloywheelsdirect and others.
Not the cheapest but very high quality.

Thanks for all the replies and help so far, it's much appreciated.

I like little jobs like these!

I painted my wheel nuts with hammeright silver. Won’t win any awards but from head height looking down, they looked better than orange rust.

Also, to save jacking up etc, I just took 1 out each wheel and painted 4 at a time.

Same with tailpipes, a little fettle with wet and dry and dusting with generic Matt black paint will liven it up. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze with removing everything etc for that imo.

Look forward to updated pics!
