202 c55 estate!

Hello what's this on PistonHeads?!

We've seen and discussed the ultra rare W202 C55 AMG model before on MBClub.co.uk, however I've never seen a RIGHT HAND DRIVE ESTATE version of the model!

It's a crap advert with zero photos, but I'll be keeping on eye on it to see if some photos are uploaded later.

Rare or not, that's a silly price for a car with so many miles!

That price is,nt to bad IMO especially being such a unique and rare car, saloon versions have been up for sale in excess of £20,000, though being an estate makes it rarer but would possibly make it less appealing than a saloon, mileage wise would,nt bother me to much my C43 is approaching 140,000 miles and still runs sweet as a nut, the apparent gearbox weakness will not effect it as all genuine W202 C55's were Tiptronic, with revised gearbox software.
But if the car is a genuine 202 C55 why is the advert so truly appalling with no pics?

Agree with you Andy. For such a rare car, the price is far more sensible than some of the stuff that's been posted here recently

I know of one (a silver 202 C55 estate in London).

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it resides near Shepherd's Bush. Or at least it did until recently

I emailed asking for some pictures......But if he collected it from the factory...why does it have two owners listed......I have removed his contact numbers...just in case..

I bought this car from AMG in Germany I picked the car up from the factory...I ordered it direct through them. I am away for 10 days and will be able to send pictures when I get back of both the engine and the car.

I spoke to Sam ..

He said the current highest bid for the car was £22k!!

But he kindly offered to let me have it for £12k if that fell through.

Fortunately for me, the car does not have a sunroof.

Come to your own conclusions.

It certainly rings some alarm bells for me. Incidentally, the two owners isn't always an issue. My XJS showed two previous owners when it really only had one. Guy bought it as his company car, then once it was four years old transferred ownership to himself & kept it for another six years.

Wasn't it £15k yesterday?

Why would someone offer £22k for a £15k (asking price) car, and then the same seller offer it for less than half the now inflated asking price (£12k) to someone else?!?

Anyway up, it's a lot of cash for a 146k miler 202 estate. I think I'd rather a lower mileage C43 estate for £5-7k and spend the rest (circa £20k?) on something nicer

Wonder if this is the car that I've seen before - if so it didn't look anything that special, just parked up on the street amongst everything else. Certainly no garage queen.

Quite possible it's the one that High-Lo saw as well - if so, rare or not I don't think it's worth that kind of cash.

BBG's C55 W202 saloon was mint when I saw it and much lower mileage, and they wanted less than that several years ago.
