    US Market got the 4 litre V8 in the w124 because it was LHD they could get the V8 under the hood, which they couldn't on the RHD cars we have ...

    Hence no V8 coupes or saloons or estates other then the 500e ( that was LHD ) :(

    It's do-able but awkward apparently.....

    You have to move the steering box as the exhaust manifold of the V8's take up the space where it it on RHD cars ....

    I will see how the coupe goes, but that does sound a good project, I think you have to use the steering components from a w210.

    Why you bought a 400e sunman? dont you like your w203 anymore? or you wanted a very old car to experiment with electronics?

    I am keeping my w203. The w124 is a awesome car itself. Built during times when Mercedes could afford to pay workers for the best quality and parts. That E class sold for more than the current E class. The e500 in 1993 was 89,000 dollars. I love the design of that car.
