C32 AMG
Hi there , looking at fitting 18s or 19s to my c32 estate
Wanna still run staggered fitments , what works best , any newer/other model wheels usable?
What there sizes
Any one got any pics with 19s

How long have you had your C32? Are you changing because of poor ride and handling or for cosmetics.

I am still running the original 17's on mine as I don't find any problems. If you do change let me know how you get on.

17s on a car of it's size leave plenty of room for improvement in the looks front, don't get me wrong larger wheels = smaller tyres = poor ride quality , but they do look better lol

There will be someone along soon with 18's on their C32 or C class who can give you a more objective opinion.

Going back to my previous post have you had the car for long?

Yea sorry , not long about 6 weeks

Unfortunately it isn't really the weather to play with it properly. I have had mine for 2 years now and love it.

Going back to the wheels I only use the car at weekends now so I might follow your lead later this year in terms of look vs ride compromise. Will wait to get your feedback first.

Have you searched the forum for opinions and feedback on 18" rims on C on a W203 C class.

I'm running 18's on mine (although ours is a C320), fills the arches much better visually than the 17's. Our suspension is also lowered / firmer, personally I wouldn't want to try 19's (although I'm sure they fit fine!)

Pics in my signature...

I would agree, running 18's would improve the looks and fill out the arches better.

I have just purchased a set of AMG IV 18s staggered setup (prefer OEM parts/look) and will mount the tyres next plus 4-wheel laser alignment. Setup is with standard OEM suspension. Once done, I will post some pictures.

BTW, would anyone know if 8x18 ET35 (F) and 9x17 ET35 (R) with 225/45/17 tyres, would fit a C32? I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

I had 18" on my CLK....good on smooth roads but not suited to the rather lumpy side roads where I live and mostly drive so changed to 17" which gives better ride.

You may be interested in the 18" wheels I took off....they are 5 spoke genuine original AMG rims which were fitted as standard. Front rims have been recently refurbished and rear rims were fitted new when I bought the car 2 years ago but do have some minor scratches. Rims only, no tyres fitted.
An almost identical set is for sale on ebay at moment standing at £450 with a day or so to go.

They are standard CLK AMG equipment staggered

Front 7.5J x 18 EH2 ET37 (225/40 R18 tyres) Part No. A209 401 1602

Rear 8.5 x 18 EH2 ET 30 (255/35 R18 tyres)Part No. A209 401 1702

Below is photo of the wheels with tyres still attached. If you are interested, I can do photos of the two rear wheels so you can see condition. The fronts are with Wheelrefurbishing.com at the moment as I felt they would benefit from attention prior to sale. They are due back early next week.

I live near Tring, Herts if you want to see them or pick up.

these would look sick on the 203.. always liked this style. 17s are far to small for a 203 or any benz saloon for that matter.

I had that style on my W203 before changing to the newer style of AMG Styling III.
