Hi Everyone, this is my first post on here.
I have a 2002 (52) CLK 320 coupe, I am aware there is a slight transmission oil leak as the undertray is dirty / gunky.
The problem i have is it smokes terribly if you really gun it, but only starting at 120mph at high revs.
Not a whiff of smoke at any other time and the engine seems to run very well so i am sure that it is the transmission.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Possibly oil only leaks in that gear at high transmission oil pressure and it hits the exhaust. Does anyone know if there's any way transmission oil could be getting into the engine?
It seems strange but as it was a cheap car id like to avoid pulling it to bits unless im sure i can fix it.
Any advice greatly appreciated
