On Tuesday evening i had to park the car on a narrow unlit lane for a while, so I folded the door mirrors for the first time in months to prevent them being knocked off. They folded fine. But then I forgot to open them out again. 
Yesterday, I went to work in the other car, and when I came home, SWMBO asked what I had done to the mirrors. She said,
"I managed to pull one out, but the other is stuck!"
(She had forgotten that they are electric.......
)
So, the question is this. What is the best option now to synchronise them both to the same position. Should I:
1) Push back the one she pulled, so they are both in.
2) Ignore the unfolded one and press the button to "open"
3) Ignore the folded one and press the button to "Close"
Do they each have their own auto-shut off to switch the motor off when they have reached the correct position?
