212 facelift on the road..

I think it looks a bit bland compared to the original version, it has lost the character at the front and the rear wheel arches.

Americans will love it as it looks like a Toyota Camry from the side!! bland as hell and lost all its character IMHO!!

I think the versions with the bonnet star look OK (which we're not allowed to buy), the sport grille I don't like, especially with the AMG lower part.

Well I am 65 years old and I am on my first mercedes ( a 2012 c class amg sport) I think this new car with the star in the centre of the grill looks fantastic, crisp and a super modern shape, I would sure be Interested in buying one when the time comes

I'm 49 and I agree with you...seems we are in the minority my friend. I ordered one anyway, my first MB too :bannana:

I should point out that on the coupe it does work...just not the saloon!

I was aware when placing the order for mine that a facelift was due shortly and I thought okay, I liked the current shape but perhaps I should wait.......I'm so glad I didn't. The front is a bit meh, not ugly just meh but the big change for me was the steering column gear shift, its bad enough having an auto, but to have nothing to rest my left hand on seems so wrong and reminds me of some big ugly lazy cadillac

Doesn't the 265/7G+ pre facelift have a column change?

Ah, my 2011 W207 had the shifter in the middle. To be honest you do get use to the column shift and it adds some clever bits like going into park automatically when you take the key out

I rather liked the original 212. I think I'm the only one.

I prefer the original w212 also,not keen on the grill,although the 1 with star on bonnet instead of grill looks better

I've got the facelift and loving it

Only thing I can complain about is that I have gone for the sports Model and the suspension is quite firm

The wheel and colour choices they get are so much more than here. Same applies for the C
