220 cdi running issue

hi bought a c 220 cdi on a 2005 plate ,came with egr and possible leaking injector and other codes cleaned tested all good but after a successful mot have a knock from engine and a misfire /judder when driving have replaced a further injector but at a loss where to look ,no fault lights on dash , any thoughts or direction .... thanks

Did you do an injector leak off test on the injectors?

cheers will look and change filter and do leak off test ,would you recommend refurb of all 4 or new ones ?

Refurb will do as the wear items are replaced , cleaned and calibrated so should be as good as new

hi have eventually done leak off test and 3 seem level one was high had a spare injector replace the odd one try again and now this one low ,really annoying me now

hi ,have eventually found correct injector ,fitted it cleared alarms and turned key ,noise still there and still sounds like a sewing machine at 1800 rpm ,really dont know which way to go [apart from a gallon of petrol ].......

If it is an OM646 you should code the injectors to the ECU. ICarsoft MB2.0 will do it.

Nose coming from the injector itself? Sounds like loud click click kinda noise?

Put a screw driver on top of the suspected injector and have a listen.

hi noise if from a petrol would have known for sure plug or lead breaking down but with a diesel bit in the dark ,have heard some else mention coding of injectors ,also heard plug and play , just as a thought could my fault be more engine related say hydraulic tappets clogged and being stubborn to free up as only 3000 miles in last 2 yrs
