220cdi town driving mpg?

I have been doing a lot of short trip town driving lately in my C220 (two months old 1500 miles) It's returning 25-28mpg and I haven't been driving like a crazed teenager. Any comparisons please for similar driving in this model?

Average speeds? Distance per journey? Cold starts etc...

I've not seen below mid 30s in mine (6,000 miler), even for the two mile commute. Presumably with the cold weather now upon us, this will drop though.

BTW mine's the "never buy a manual Mercedes" manual, so I would hope for higher mpg.
