Hi All

I have a 1990 w124 230e. When looking in the engine bay I noticed both ends of this lead unplugged. I'm fairly sure it is the CPS. I know the flat end is attached to the engine block but can anyone tell me where the 3 pin connection attaches>
Thanks in advance.

Mine's a 1991 car and I would expect the technology to be similar. In which case, the 3 pin connection would go to the ignition controller. I assume that the car does not start, yes?

Of course, your 230 may be different!

Sorry to be not much use.

That's the front crank sensor, which is used for diagnostic purposes only. It plugs into the diagnostic port near the EZL module. The proper crank sensor is at the rear of the engine.
