    A taster if you did not make it and a reminder if you did.

    Thanks to Maff for initially hosting the event, it was great to meet everyone.

    Thanks to Matt for setting up and hosting the initial meet,
    I had a great time putting faces to names, good to meet everyone at last.

    Trouble is I cant wait for that lottery win now - Having seen the &quot;big boys&quot; engines I really NEED a more powerful one <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

    EDIT: Forget it!

    EDIT: I was trying previously to link direct to Gregs gallery, as he had a better shot, but it didn't work, .

    Anyhow, the caption was:

    &quot;We are giving Merc drivers abad name for parking!&quot;

    Again thanks Matt for organizing today, also thanks to your other half for keeping my daughter occupied. She thought your other half was a very very nice lady &quot;who spoke a bit funny and had a hard name to remember&quot; (LOL).

    Good to see you all, hope everyone got home safely. We got home in 1hr 25m which was not bad for a 85mile trip. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

    PS, Graham I tried to go to your picture link in post above but it say's &quot;forbidden access not allowed&quot;

    Wish I could have been there. Hopefully, I'll be there for the next GTG.

    I have the GTG bug now!!! LOL

    Unless we have another generous host (thanks Maff), the next GTG will require even more organisation and date planning.

    Why don't we have some sort of survey or plan drawn up of where people are in the UK, so that we can have the GTG so that it as central for everyone as possible?

    I thought of posting a UK map for people to detach, mark there spot and re-post, but this could get messy!

    Any ideas? I know Shude is in Manchester - anyone furhur north?

    I too wish I could have been there, but from Manchester it's just too far.

    What happened to the GTG at Trentham Gardens?

    I would liked to have been there, sounds like it was a good do. I was working that day <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

    I am in near Northampton, just about as central as you can get really.

    Certainly got the room for it. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> Easy access off the A14, not a bad idea.

    I second that!

    As long as we where in Northampton or just north, everyone would have a fir journey and perhaps we would get a good turnout.

    Can you suggest anywhere or seriously host this Jimmy?

    Northamptonshire isnt too far from Essex - I can do it in about 1.5 hrs from here - slightly longer for Paul though coming from Kent.

    That's why we need to start suggesting dates, and find out who our most northern members are, who are likely to come. Then we can choose somewhere as central for all as possible.

    OT:

    I know the gearbox isn't the best, I have used better, but it's not as bad as people make out.

    I have read in reviews etc that people find the manual and the unconventional handbrake too tricky.

    Can figure it myslef. IT'S QUICKER. At the lights, feet do their thing, one hand puts in gear and other releases hand brake.........then grab steering wheel!

    Thinking of some ideas and a venue. My only trouble is my work commitments for the next few months (years <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'> )

    When are you guys thinking of having the next GTG?

    Next  few weeks or months could be a problem for me  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

    Next year should be possible though <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
