Looking for two used but reasonable 255/35/18

They can be narrower; 245 or 235 but need to be 35/18 please.

If I put 40 profiles on the rear and 40 on the front will it cause an issue. Car is a C240 Estate.

You should already have 225/40/18 on the front really. What size wheels do you have?

The profile is measured as a ratio against the width. It is not a measurement like the width and diameter of the wheel.

All cars with staggered wheels have a lower ratio on the rear tyres to keep the overall radius the same for the speedo etc.

I do have 225/40/18 on the front. Hence the question what happens if I put 40's on the rear?

If the car has esp it won't go anywhere without disabling esp. I think you have a 1% margin between wheels, something like that.
