Well after my post about finding the PAS reservoir, and some kindly member pointing out that I had what looked like a blowby on No1, today got the car back from it's 5th visit to Road Range.... Now had all 5 injectors and seals replaced, paid for by selling dealer - good job as I believe they are circa £250 each +vat, exchange!

Anyway, got me thinking about glowplugs, now it's getting cold.... On mine, sometimes the glowplug lamp comes on AFTER the engine has been started and is running, the mechanic says this is normal, but is it??? Can't see any mention in the book... So is it normal, or does it indicate a fault?

If you are paying for the plugs to be done make sure you soak them in WD40 for a few days before any attampt is made at removal.
Failure to do this is very likely to lead to one breaking off in the head.

The light shouldn't come on after start, it indicates a faulty plug.
