280CE W114 Engine 110.981 required

Hello,
I have a Mercedes 280CE W114 1973. The engine has seized and I cannot shift it. However I am keen to find a replacement in the meantime to get this lovely vehicle back on the road. Can anyone advise or help me locate where to look?

Or look on ebay.
Have you taken the head off to see what the cause of the seize is? It may be better to rescue what you have rather than buy an unknown quality engine.
