Anyone used any higher without compromise to mpg?

The tyres are bulging, look like uninflated.

Higher psi usually give better mpg (reduced rolling resistance) but at the expense of accelerated wear.

What does the label on the fuel filler flap advise?

That what the label advised 29psi all round. I dont think it good for the tyres at the expense for soft sprung ride.

It should be like my W202 30psi at the front and 33psi at the rear.

The W211 is heavier though.

Are the tyres wearing evenly? If under inflated one would expect the edges to go first.

I'm running at 34psi fronts and 32psi rears with excellent results, no excessive side wear on the fronts nor centre wear on the rears.

Cheers

:)

On both my previous C270 and my current E320, I inflate front tyres to 31/32psi as this appears to 'cure' the wearing of the edges of the tyres. I think the 29psi quoted, although manufacturer guideline, is a little soft.

I run the C250 at 32psi front and 30psi rear, again I get good long tyre life ... both cars usually have driver and one passenger.

Cheers

:)

W208 Ok different car but I run 32F 34R on the staggered set up but car is usually 4 up

It wearing evenly but cracks appearing on the side wall.

Change the tyres! Cracking is not a good sign!

if they crack, try and get them changed , i had a set of fulda`s many years ago on a BMW i had and they got changed by fulda FOC as they shouldnt crack like that. I just took the car to a fulda dealer who go t the change authorised.

I've got 245's on mine and the previous owner had them at 34/35 PSI (recommondation was 29/30)

I've dropped them to 29/30 although they seemed fine at the higher pressures and looked to be wearing evenly.

I run my W220 at 34F and 35R on mixed driving.

Had it down at 32 all round and the ride was vague
