2rd gear problem.

Hi Guys, thanks for letting me join this sight, I have bought a 2014 Mercedes sprinter 313 messing van with 108.000 miles, the problem is after driving for a few hundred miles I have notice resistances when I try to engage 2rd gear, after reading up on this sort of problem some say check or replace gear cables others say clutch, but the clutch seems to bite in the right place so any advice would be great.
