I have ben quoted 300 pounds by a body shop to put right 2 deep scratches across my doors and to weld a plate on both my wings (to remove the indicator hole), fill and paint. The guy said that he would have to spray the entire wing....

is this reasonable? I asked if he could part paint and 'blend', laquer the whole wing instead of paint and laquer the whole wing.

Sounds like a good deal compared to £400 my friends have just had to pay to get a few parking dings, and minor dent removed prior to selling their car.

At that price I wouold check some of their work first!
£300 is good for any paintwork these days.

I was quoted £600 to paint the bumpers and side claddings on my SL to make it all one colour. This was from a member of the family who owns a top paintshop - Bargain!
(He specialises in top motors like -mercs,jags ferraris and the occasional multi flip/hue TVR's !)

Any decent painshop will normally charge £150 per panel for a decent job in metallic paint.

Sounds like a good deal to me too.
I've paid £400 for scratches down two doors, a few years ago.
