300 SE - creaking door linings / door bins

recently bought a 300 SE and notice the interior of the doors / or perhaps the door bins making creaking noises at slow speeds, over bumps and on breaking/accelerating. is this just because its an old car/old plastic etc can anything be done to reduce the noise.

i was thinking trying to insert some appropriately coloured wedges in the gaps and joins to see whether these held the materials and stopped the noises.

any ideas much appreciated

I had the very same problem and after much time trying to hunt down thw problem it turned out to be the plastic door sill kick plates. I tried everything from silicon spray to removing and refitting them but nothing would shut them up !! It drives you crazy doesn't it !?

I finally cured it by buying some stick on chrome kick plates from ebay. You stick them over the plastic kick plates and the extra thickness stops the plastic from squeaking.
