They are interesting cars. I used to look after a c124 based Brabus Q3C back in the day. The head gasket was the weak link. I had to replace it once. It was a copper item, only available from Brabus. Was over a grand, and that was about 18 years ago. Was a manual gearbox, right hand drive. Apparently there were only two, a black one and the blue one I looked after. Portman were the sole UK concessionaire at that time iirc.

Re reading that thread, possibly three, but only two remained, although that was a few years back.

But what's better though the Brabus M103 based 3.6 or the 300 24v based AMG 3.4 that the car has in the first link ???? Or is the M104 3.6 better than both 😁

I’m not an expert on Brabus cars. Afaik the 3.6 m103 and m104 wear the same headgasket, with an overbore of circa 92mm. They are thin between the bores. The one I did had blown the gasket out between the bores at the thinnest point. Common I believe. Brabus 3.4 means nothing to me. Never seen one. ;)

My friend owns this car, nice example in good condition.
I think he is selling a few cars as he has too many.

One of these Brabus engines' capacity was increased by using the longer throw crank /rods from a MERC 6 cylinder diesel to increase the stroke but cant remember which one.:wallbash:

Id love that to be on my drive......not sure I could live with those wheels though.....too fussy for my tastes.....especially compared to the cars clean simple lines.
