300CE Stalling

Not used my 1993 300CE for a few weeks

It has now started to stall now and again when coming to a stop, (at a road junction or roundabout) - only does it when hot

Feels electrical - as though it is not firing on one cylinder - clears itself when I restart and rev the engine - but it can take a few "goes" and I feel that "it is still there"

Any ideas?

Where should I start looking - petrol OK and it had new plugs a few months ago, (when it had a mild service).

10 years ago I had a Ford Mondeo, which had the same symptom.
The the fault was with the idle speed control valve.

My mate has the same symptoms on his 300ce, not sure where to start looking!

check for condensation in distbutor cap first located at front of engine held on by 3 5mm allen key bolts

had similar issues in my old volvo at one stage. condensation at the end of the HT leads was the problem.
