I believe an ex-member's car, featured in Mercedes Enthusiast, is back in the market, and now sans horrible wheels.

I think the mileage is wrong though.
IIRC, it has way more than 145,000 miles mentioned in the advert

That used to be mine, ie when it appeared in Mercedes Enthusiast.....had a lot of fun in that car and was a real wolf in sheeps clothing.

Not sure where that hideous spoiler has come from!

The spec panel on the side of that article is all over the place and will confuse
potential buyers.

Obviously refers to standard car.

Saying that the original road test by Autocar for the coupe had 7.6 secs to 60.

The seller says it has Dealer service history up to 145,000 miles, not that being the total recorded mileage now.

Right and wrong :o

I read it like that earlier, but it also states the mileage as 145,000 too, in the details :)

This is now my car....and is for sale. The mileage is about 180 000 now or just under anyway. It dos need a spot of paint here and there but luckily it's the kind of job that could even be done by a 'Chips way' type outfit if required. The car comes with the copy of the MB magazine that it featured in and all the history with a service book to about 150 000. I'm a Munich BMW trained tech and have serviced the car and replaced the usual MB dodgy W124 wiring and hardened pipes. The car runs as sweet as a nut and sat quite happily in a two hour jam into london the other day at rock solid middle of the dial on temp.
