I am the proud owner of a 1989 307D coachbuilt motorhome with the 2.4 OM616 engine.
I would like a bit more power but cant afford an engine upgrade so i am prepared to stick with what ive got for the time being. Having said that, my real need is for power steering.
Can anyone advise me the best way to proceed ?
Does the 308 power steering easily fit on the 2.4 engine or is there another way to achieve my goal.
Any advise or help welcome.

Assuming that you can find a T1 308 with power steering (did any of them have it?) you'll need the pas pump from a W123/W115 or some other 61x series engine, as the later engine is quite a different beast.

The box and lines from a 308 should bolt on fine.

Thanks Nick Mercedes for your reply.
I am a bit confused because i thought that not all but most of the 308D vans had power steering.
I am afraid i am not familiar with the W123/W115 or 61x engines. Were they used in cars or just vans? My OM616 engine is very basic and not turbo charged so i know it is very different from the later ones in the sprinter.
