Hi, I'm in the process of trying to install an alarm system, but in a muddle with the wiring. Do I connect the alarm wiring to the loom behind the glove box?...seems to have loads of wires with factory made connectors or blue caps, as if this is the place to make connections.
Secondly, door trigger switch wiring...connect to the same loom?....or like the instructions say, directly at the switch?...and finally, wiring to go to main 12v, immobiliser etc, connect up at the steering column?

I have the necessary wiring diagrams, but nothing is indicating exactly where in the vehicle to make these connections.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, is this an aftermarket alarm system your fitting?

I think you will need a canbus alarm for it to work.

Thanks for that Zen.....could you advise me why a canbus alarm please?...even when its bad news, its nice to know why ))
cheers

p.s....forgot to mention that I did get a specific vehicle spec sheet for my sprinter with this alarm system which apparently covers a few differences between the alarm manual and my vehicle specifically. Cheers

I think that the sprinter is like a Vito and it's all canbus, so you get door open in the cluster, bulb out etc so if you add anything it needs to be compatible with mercedes canbus.
It make it easy to install, and cheap enough, look here Clifford Products Direct Products Detail

Pretty sure you will need a Canbus alarm as Zenman has said, i am getting a clifford 330 canbus alarm fitted soon to my vito , will let you know how i get on with it .

Menz?....its a 2002 plate and Sparky, that'd be a great help and interesting to see how you get on...cheers all
