Hello - first post, so please don't jump with hobnailed boots if this is a silly question or answered elsewhere, but I'm trying to find out the volume of the boot of my "new" coupe. (Short of actually going out and measuring up and trying to remember schoolboy maths, that is.)

Many thanks.

Peter

From what i remember when i had a W124 CE the boot volume is just about the same as for the W124 saloons. The convertible is smaller than this but still quite useable.

I've just checked mine and they are more or less the same. There's no data in the handbooks. Schoolboy maths time it is: in cm about 150 x 90 x 45 = about 600,000 cc = about 600 litres. Can't find the figure for a new E-class, but the Mondeo is 500 litres, the Peugeot 407 is 407 litres and the Peugeot 607 509 litres, so the W124 boot remains on the large side.

Saloon and coupe share the same size boot tub in which I can fit my mountain Bike with it's wheels removed.
loads of room, even for the wheels, just not on bike.

This is what I found on foreign site:
sedan: 520 ltr
estate: 530 ltr
coupe: 480 ltr
convertible: 300 ltr

The C124 has a huge and very practical boot :)

Which is frequently used to capacity by Family B.

The boots are huge, I managed to get both my kids in there.

which are also big for a coupe - just look at the competition cars for a comparison.

Merc coupe's have always been able to seat 4 people properly.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, stick 2 adults in the back and you loose quite a bit of leg room.

It doesnt bother me, I like the seating for two and a big boot, exactly what a coupe should be.
