320ce rear lights

Am a new boy to the site, so please be gentle. Have just purchased a '93 320ce and want to swap the standard 3-colour lights to the 2-tone smoked versions you find on some other ce's.

can anyone confirm that the lights are interchangeable between w124 models/years?? i have seen some on ebay, which simply say "w124 85-95 e-class rear light" and would like to know whether these are a simple like-for-like swap.

Im pretty sure they are the same fitting, but Im sure someoen more knoweldgable will be along to correct me!

yes, they all fit.

there are atleast 3 types

1 - orange indicators

2 - greyed out indicators

3 - white indicators

i had type 1 on GFP 1 & 3 and changed them both to type 2

i had type 2 on GFP 2 and now have type 3 which for me are the best

these 2 pics are type 2 then type 3

Only the orange ( pre facelift ) and the smoked ( post facelift ) are OEM though.
