I don't think so.

I wonder if it's underfuelling or just got no go due to wear. the boost then adds the required impetus to make it feel good.

Just had a read through all the write up I got form Hughs and both turbos work together. JUst spoke to him, the car runs fine once its moving but off the mark its very very slow. You get people beeping at you at the light because you move off that slowly. At speed the turbos operate correctly so it might be something silly, a fueling issue maybe?

Should have looked and read more closely. Its a TURBO TECHNICS setup I was thinking of the Mosselman twin turbo set up which I think is sequential but cant swear to it. Heres a couple of pics of the mosselman setup on a 103 engine courtesy of a guy called Matteus on www.benzworld.org
