320CE wide body twin turbo

The car sold at Barons auctions in DEC 2007. The wide arches are made by VITT and are fibreglass. If memory serves me right, the car was not a twin turbo at the time.

V.nice - wonder why it needs a remap and who would be able to do it?

i have had a little bid on this, but am also concerned due to asking the vendor some questions, and one of the answers was how much the ecu and mapping has cost... why the hell does it still need a remap? i'm out, especialy as it has been pointed out above that it is fiberglass arch kit and must also be retro fitted tt kit, it sounds like they havent done it correctly!

Looks fantastic (fibreglass or not) and I'm tempted to buy it. It's definitely one of the Hughes' recently sold kits so the turbos are almost new. There's lots of mods on it but should be easy enough to get it all working properly. Someone's spent a lot of money on it.

so estimate is 5000-6000, thats before it was fitted with the twin turbo kit

i must say, as i have an original TT, looking at the pictures of the engine bay on this car, it is almost identical to mine, so whoever did it, knew their job and looks very tidy!

Anyone who wants to bid on it should really go and see it. From what I remember the front wings were so poorly fitted you could see the road when you open the bonnet, the gaps were so large.

Interesting car.

Wheels are replicas I think. Fake AMG plaque on the console?

Bit suspicious to be selling without an MOT, IMHO. It would obviously sell much more easily with one, so one suspects there's a reason they don't want it test driven.

Their feedback doesn't inspire much confidence.

+1.

Looking at the fb, the weasley disclaimer in the description, the worrying lack of MOT on a car from a trader who must have MOT connections & things like "could do with a re-map" that looks like a money pit can of worms.

or could have had new set of turbos etc and just needs bit of tuning, £350 job would do it as i was told...

I suspect 'needs remap' and 'no MOT' means it has emission problems?
Maybe it no longer has cats and hasn't been MOT'd since the conversion?
I'd still consider it at the right price...but do I need two similar cars?
