Has anyone any experience of the above engine? I'm looking at replacing my e class estate and am considering this engine variant.

Yes, I noted the increase in fuel comsumption from mine. I'm after more performance though and so am looking at either the 350 or the 320cdi. The increased economy of the diesel isn't a big issue for me at the moment as my mileage has dropped down to around 10000/year.

Another unbiased view from the Mail....not !!!

Why doesnt it mention RS6 or 911s or Rolls or other such types ?

Its a pretty limited list to get worried about....

Wasn't there a PCP deal with low APR on nice E320cdi's ;)
Yes indeed. On the MB website. Interesting if he asks the dealer what guaranteed residual they might give him on the petrol engine. I see the 320cdi gives almost identical performance and does over 20% more miles per gallon.

But who pays the depreciation and fuel may affect the issue.

Yes I'll ask this question when I next visit the dealer........

I am after a gas guzzler E55 from 2005 or later as I also do not due the mileage (also around 10K/year).

Company pays for my car so not too worried about depreciation but saying that, selling mine, of course me (the company) wants to get as much as possible.

But buying used I think I can get a good price....
