36mm Oil Filter socket tool source

Any ideas where I can get one of these tools to remove the oil filter
on my C220 D , I believe its a 36mm Oil Filter socket tool

I tried without it but the cap is a pig to get off so I stopped before damaging it.

I belive halfords sell a tool for it £6.99 if i remember

I used to be able to get them, they are only a few quid compared to the dealers at over a tenner. Try ebay or a local motor factor or tool shop.

cheers guys, I went for a 36mm 6 sided socket from Halfords, £7.12

The dealer doesnt use anything other than a socket themselves apparently. The other filter tool they do use is a 76mm internal which looks like its for canister type filters. Thats at MB Harrogate anyway.

The filter tool I bought for my BMW R1100GS fits the Mercedes filter cover perfectly. It was from Motorworks.co.uk and it was only a few quid.
