We can do the 4G upgrades again.

- A complete guess, but suspect someone at Mercedes realised they could still make recurring revenue so started offering the Excellence package to everyone and seem to have fixed it to recognise whether a car has 4G module or not again and not based it on just an age cutoff.

NB, don't pay for a subscription until the 4G module is installed as it seems to work out what services are available at the point you subscribe rather than re-evaluating regularly and enabling things.
