3rd Brake light A238 convertible

<div class="bbWrapper">Hi I am getting an intermittent 3rd brake light message on the dash, has anybody removed this for inspection/replacement? Any guides or advise welcome</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I would think that the boot lid liner has to come off to get to the third brake light. I had to change a number plate light unit on my CLK and seem to remember seeing the mounting nuts for the brake light whilst I was in there.</div>
