3rd row seats on S211 / W211 facelit

Hello guys.

I am new to this forum and I am looking for some informations / advices regarding a possible retrofit on a s211 from 2007 facelit version.
Has someone retrofited a 3rd row on this model? Is that something I can do in order to check if this will be a "plug and play" operation?

I have seen some pictures on the internet where the the seating belt attaches to te toop of the roof. I took a look at my car and I didn`t find any place to secure the bolt.

I am hopping you guys (specially who has the same model with the 3rd row from factory) could give me some of your expertise.

I'm not so sure it is that simple in the 211; you would have to source the seats and the seat belts plus the interior floor from a 7 seater car plus as you say find a way to anchor the belts which (I assume) would mean dropping the headlining to find the bolt mounting points. If you really need a 7 seater there are plenty on the market, probably easier to buy one and sell your car.

I agree with Smiley. You’ll need full access to a donor car and the process will be long and complex. For such a cheap car it would be best just to buy a different car.

Don’t forget that it’s still not a big car. That third row is only good for occasional, short use by short children. It doesn’t transform thé S211 into an R350, ML350, Vito or Previa people carrier.
