I recently took my CLK320 to a local independent to replace both lower ball joints & 4-wheel alignment on their Hunter setup. The feel of the car has noticably improved but its not 100% perfect. I've noticed that it now follows the camber of the road a lot more & the steering is'nt as direct as I would like. So I examined the before/after report of the alignment & notice that the car stated is an AMG CLK55, not a 320. Should this matter?

Can you post this print out? I would like to check it. (I used to do alignments)

I've attached a scan of before/after printout, I did return to the garage in question & ask why it says AMG CLK55 at the top. They claim that these are the correct specs for my 320 & thats just how the machine prints the report. Not certain if i've been fobbed off, although I am sure that the steering does not feel 100%.

you have probably got a worn joint at the NSR because the camber is excessive and is not adjustable. (or a link is bent)

what is the effect ....

too little rear toe in

too little front toe in

on the way a rear drive vehicle handles?

I had 2 failed attempts by garages to set up the suspension on my 500E.

It was only after some research and me taking the proper process (weights in all 4 seats) to Merc that it was done properly, the difference was night and day and the car was transmormed.

Dave!

Plus looks like you got to much neg camber on both nearside wheels.
