Looks good but I would go for a different color.

from the article:
The main focus was on squeezing additional horsepower from the four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which in its standard configuration develops 360 PS (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). By remapping the engine's ECU, the aftermarket specialists bumped output to 430 PS (316 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). This is only the first stage of their upgrade program as GAD Motors says there's still room for improvement.

6 pictures and for article

Gotta wonder how long the turbo will last at that power? The A45 forum has several people with blown turbos.......

I have to question the longevity of these engines at that level of tune too.

Will they still be running in 3-5years time?

wont last long with that done to it ...end of

I think there is a lot more power to be made from these engines yet.
However, I was under the impression that no one had cracked the ECU yet and most tuned A45's were running with "piggy back" tuning boxes.

the GAD platform was running 102 octane fuel to get these figures, I was also advised by a very well known source that the mid range torque isn't great, compared to rivals. But good for them, im sure they will develop it further.

there is one guy pushing 475 from his GULP!!!!

ECU has yet to be cracked, so its a piggyback box

The design of the engine is good for 500, but the turbo is not, I think once you see the likes of MSL/Wesitec and RENNtech release stage 2 itll start closeing to 500BHP. ACID at MSL is already testing the Weistec Downpipe, an he has his map sorted.

Turbo change
Downpipe etc.

The engine itself is very well designed Forged crank Pistons dual Oil Pickup, and others to boot.

stage 1 for me that's enough for me to beat most things from macdonals car park LOL.

Some specs pulled from my other post.

Forged pistons, connecting rods with larger shaft diameter, forged steel crankshaft and steel bearing caps (5 support bearings), split water jacket, a very short air path (with low pressure loss between the raw air intake and the cylinder head intake port ), twin-scroll turbocharger, 2 stage oil pump...

wrote it already, we can't tell for sure yet at which stage the fuel pump or INJ will need to be upgraded, definitely not until 435-440hp as far as what I have seen and logged.
The injector fitted, a piezo-actuated injector, is the same INJ used in Mercedes/AMG six- and eight-cylinder gasoline engines – from the 1.6 through to the 5.5-l unit.

If a stage will need those parts to be upgraded, it will take some time to find adequate parts anyway as you can't even get other spark plugs for this engine because the IGN and INJ system is MB specific (at least the spark plugs are already NGK 8 grade).

On modified or standard engines?

Mostly modified though early up modified cars have been subject to a recall.

Very informative post but you got it mixed up, the GAD A45 is my car and the ECU is CRACKED the GAD-Motors team have successfully cracked the ECU and you will see close numbers to 500hp with stock turbos soon, the problem facing the A45 has nothing to go with the turbos it's the oil feed line that has contamination from poor block cleaning after casting, the car made 427ps and 550nm with the tune only on pump gas nothing else was touched.

People get this mixed up there are two different GAD companies one in UK and the other in Germany, my car is tuned in Germany GAD-Motors - Startseite
