4th Merc, but new to forum

Congrats! Stunning car and loving the interior colour scheme:thumb:
Thank you Roger, I thought you'd approve of the interior.
It was going to be another 213 E63s, but I took a change of direction before I found the one for me.

That’s ruddy lovely Richie. Wishing you many happy healthy miles to enjoy. 👌

(And just wait till Roger sees the interior colour!!!)
Thanks Ant, I appreciate the best wishes.

I understand the title is out of date now, but I thought I'd add pictures of my latest car to this thread rather than start a new one.
Not too many pictures up to now, but I'll add more in the next few days if the weather holds up.

Hopefully there won't be any comments from the shine police.

Ooof that’s blooming lovely, congratulations! Selenite Grey and coloured interior is a winning combination. You even have the AMG Dynamic Plus package, and the satin silver external trim. You have fine taste 👌🏻

Thanks Rob, it ticked almost every box. In fact it was the only P71 car I came across while I was looking.
I've seen a couple of YouTube videos with Selenite mango paint and red roof, now that would have been the ultimate spec for me. I would certainly be interested in a change of roof fabric colour, but I suspect I would be sleeping in the spare bed for a while if I suggested it.

I had to be brief earlier but I came back to say that I believe that the AMG GT C is probably peak front-mid engined GT for road use, and you have picked up a peach.

You have the right options too, with the rare AMG Dynamic Plus pack, and Selenite Magno over Macchiato which was launch spec for GT C but very rarely specified.

I really do like red roofs - as you said in another thread #redroofsrock - but with Magno paint, I genuinely believe that black is the better option for the hood.

I have thought about it a lot too ;) The US road test launch had a Selenite Magno with red roof and it looked good, but Magno with black (or gloss with red) are better IMHO.

My claim on peak front-mid GT is a a big one, and the only thing close IMHO is maybe the Ferrari 812 GTS which gives an even more special experience.

The Ferrari V12 engine truly is a masterpiece, but as a package it’s not quite so easy to use and live with for anything and everything.as the AMG GT C.

You chose well, very well 👌🏻

Washed your one yet?! :D

😁 Dirty cars are loved cars

My cars get very dirty but they all get a professional maintenance detail every 2 weeks, so I can get them dirty all over again 😁

Nice one Richie, look forward to seeing this at Newby Hall in early May.

I'll keep mine (non-Merc) away from it as it'll get jealous. :D

The list of 'must haves' was:
Selenite, gloss or Mango
Macchiato interior
Performance seats
AMG Dynamic Plus Package
Exterior chrome pack
Obviously FMDSH (or Merc Indie)
Lowish miles
Great condition

As already mentioned, I would have liked a red hood and drivers assistance package would have been a nice to have although I would have only wanted distronic as IMO blind spot and lane assist are a PITTs and off putting.

The car came with 9,600 miles on it and 14 months Mercedes transferable warranty which was a bonus as I'd probably have bought a warranty anyway. The last owner had only put 1,200 miles on it in the 8 months of ownership. IMO I got an amazing deal for a car that is ~95% of what I was looking for, so I'm over the moon.

I viewed and had an extensive test drive in another GTc and knew quite soon that I would be happy living with one for the foreseeable future. It'll be used as and when I want (excluding snow) and I may consider winter tyres at the end of the year. It's a cracking car and I know it will do me well as a semi-daily car whatever the weather. I can only take your opinion of it being the peak front-mid engined GT for road use as I don't have any experience or knowledge of others in it's category, but I'm sure you could be correct. If it comes in second place to a +£300,000 Ferrari, then I'll take that as a win, win.

Thanks Dave.
Looking forward to Newby Hall too and I'd be more than happy to be parked next to the Farm Truck.
