5.5 Upgrade for android auto

I can't get android auto in my e class 2019. I have contacted Mercedes and apparently need NTG 6 FUI or higher.
My car has NTG 5.5.
Im not clued up on this and just want to be able to use Google maps!
I've been getting conflicting info and apparently this can be achieved by a decoding? Also been told I need to retro fit a new one. I just don't know what is needed or what to purchase and can't see anywhere Glasgow area all seem to be London/ Bradford. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure if this will be helpful but fwiw, I have NTG 5.5 in my 2019 W205 and have Android Auto. Albeit it is via cable, not wireless.

The car has the port with the two symbols but when attaching the wire nothing is happening. Tried numerous wires to no avail. Purchased the car and assumed that because this was in it there wouldn't be an issue...wrong!!

NTG5.5 does have native support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As richard said, contact Comand Online and they'll know what needs to be done to activate it.

Hi I have plugged a cable in and nothing is happening. I would be happy if I could just get it to work with the wire. Have contacted a couple of places online and been told to order what I require and they will install it but don't know what to order!
