Various.
Through the Daily Mail apparently; £13 instead of the usual £26.

Details here - 50% off family and friends railcard - HotUKDeals Forum

If you qualify with kids the right age it can save a lot of money on train fares.

You can see whether it's worthwhile by planning dummy trips with & without the discount. Seems to pay for itself in one go even on shortish journeys - trainline: buy cheap train tickets, get UK train times & fares - book seats online

This offer is back again.

If you have kids under 16 it really does make train travel much cheaper. For e.g. without the card a day trip for 1 adult & 2 kids to Bath (booked over 2 weeks in advance) is £50 return. With the card the same journey on the same day is £26.

You get 2 months free & after that the option to buy the 12 month card at a 50% discount, which was £13 last year. It pays for itself the first time you use it.

That's a good deal IF you have kiddies to travel with - which unfortunately we do not. However, there are other railcards! We qualify for senior citizen railcards, which cover the whole country but are £26 each, and you can only buy for yourself. However, there is also the Network Railcard at £25, covers enough of the country for us, and I can buy tickets for up to 4 people on it!
