500e best oil to use

Hi, i have just recently purchased a 1992 500e from the u.s with very high mileage 320k with full merc history. Just wondering what would be the best engine oil to use with this mileage.also any other recommendations appreciated. Thankyou

Unless it's using a lot of oil I'd stick to whatever it's been run on for 320,000 miles which has obviously done a good job.

What ever you use make sure it meets the MB spec. The usual options to consider for high mileage are are: go up a grade if needed to restore oil pressure or use use a designated high mileage oil which will contain more seal conditioner than standard oil.

I like Mobil1 15w50 for my M119 but I live in TX where the weather is warm.
