530d gone, time to come home perhaps...

So my car was stolen little over a week ago, it was BMW E60 530d MSport. Loved the car mostly for its engine and grunt and it has been a horrible experience losing it like this.

Now I need to replace it I am either thinking of buying another 530d or maybe a C350 CDI, around 2008 age/price. Is there anything (other than not so good mpg) I should look out for on these cars?

Wouldn't a 535d be more comparable to an E350CDI?

In size it is comparable to E class but I can't afford a new shape E and not a big fan of the previous generation one so that's why I'm looking at the C class. Need to test drive one really to see how it performs.

On a 2008 plate I would have thought the closest to a C350CDI would be either a 325D or a 525D
