I have never been happy with the Mercedes inlet gaskets, and the fact they are use once, having had to remove my inlets on 3 occasions recently for one reason or another, was looking for an alternative solution, even lazer cut stainless, in the end opted for reusing my merc gaskets and a product called Stag Wellseal jointing compound, it's been around for a while, and any local motor factors should have it, but from the tests I did would not leak at 40 psi, and its just a recommendation for anyone working on these cars and wanting leak free boost. Just lightly coat all sides leave for 5 mins before assembly, enjoys Lads!
Note many engine builders still use this today even on cylinder head gaskets
On my boost reduction sticky, I would had used this product by way if belt n braces approach had I known about it sooner.
