My 230k also has this limiter. Not too fussed about it, since it's not exactly what you'd call an exotic soundtrack, but on an AMG.. Yea, I feel the pain, OP.

Dont see the appeal, but different strokes for different folks. Ive noticed from experience that once the engine is warm and has been taken for some spirited driving, revving it up to even 3k and letting off creates quite a noise...!!
