Hi Lads,

A few months back there was a for sale add in Mercedes enthusiasts magazine for the sale of the above car. This car is a 1988 560 SEL, Registration 88-WD-560. Originally registered in Ireland 9and may still be). It belonged to my father before he died in '92. I've been trying to track it down for years now. Recently I spoke with the registered owner here in Ireland, however he actually sold the car over 10 years ago. It remained around cork city for a number of years after that and has since gone off the radar. If anyone has any information, or details from the add I would be very grateful. Thanks, Myles Sheehy

I did actually, they couldn't find the add. I only know about the add from a post on boards.ie, hoping that guy might still have a copy and get back to me.

See if you can buy the last few months copies of the mag on eBay.

I've been around Ireland a lot over the last few years and seen many older Merc's but never came across a 560 on the road and doubt it is with the crazy road tax for that motor. And even if it is registered it's more than likely only taxed three months of the year. A friendly local motor taxation office might be helpful.

Actually, there is one 560 that I'm aware of but it's a Dublin reg so not the car you're looking for.
