I took the listing to mean that the car was listed on behalf of someone else.

Edited to add that one of the plastic air ducts is missing in the engine bay. Could have just fell off, but needs investigation.

Seems a bit odd that one of the air intakes is missing.

Chrome arches could be an option? Also the data card appears to be peeling which is a bit odd

The Datacard peeling is quite normal.

Chrome arches were never a factory option. Could be put on as someone genuinely thought they'd look good, but 99% of the time they're put on to hide rust.

The "call Gary" thing is probably so the seller doesn't have to answer any questions in writing so he can deny later. It also gives him a chance to secure a sale off eBay and avoid fees.

Quite like that it's still got the rear footrests, £7500 is a lot of money and would be a pain to find orig wheels (215's) and get those chrome wheel arches sorted, but very nice..

That would have been wonderful new - but with those monoblocks and chrome arches it screams "cheap wannabe gangsta" to me now!

Nope, most have springs in the front and hydro / spring combo in the rear like the estate cars have.

A kid at school's parents had a 450 sel with curtains in the back. Looks naff now but oh so cool then, especially when the minder got out of the front passenger seat. Tres Miami Vice.

Shame about the wheels and the arches, they are a hoot to drive, far quicker than they should be and make a lovely deep noise, there seem not to be too many unmolested W126 around any more,
